Where have all the good times gone?

I was listening to the Underground Garage on Sirius today and heard one of my old favorite songs, "Suzy Is A Headbanger" by The Ramones and I can't help but be pissed off that 2 of the 4 of them died of cancer in their 50's. Dee Dee of course, overdosed. Then I think about Ben Orr from The Cars. Dimebag Darrell (not my genre, but, still an independent voice) from Pantera. The great John Lennon, Warren Zevon, Harry Chapin and countless others. All dead from cancer, natural causes or assasination. We are robbed of these people yet Britney, Ashlee and all the rest of the braindead, musically void artists of today live on with no problems. How is this fair? Yeah, OK, Left Eye bit it a few years back, but 50 Left Eyes could not make up one Joey Ramone. Maybe I'll stop by Jimi's grave on the way home and ask him WTF?

I mentioned a few posts back that I was going to shed a few pounds...I am down about 11 now and going to play some racquetball tonight. For as shitty as it is to give up the fun food, moderate your intake and exercise, damn if it they are not right and you do feel better. I really want to get back out onto the hockey rink again. I miss the bruises! I don't know if I can play without Scott guarding my net.

The boy will be two on Tuesday. His Omi is coming into town tonight to be at his party on Saturday. He LOVES his Omi more than anyone else. He will be going nuts when he sees her.
