This is radio Clash on pirate satellite...

Hey, Hey, Hey...it's about time I updated this thing!

A few observations so far this year...

Up here in Seattle we are in the midst of setting a record for consecutive rain days. Today is day 24 and we only need to go 6 more to break the record. I was tired of it a few weeks ago, but I want to break the record now...ahhhh yes, goals.

Loving the new satellite radio. Not only do I get Howard back in the morning, but, the stations satisfy the *rock snob in me. I don't have to hear fucking Coldplay, Green Day, Killers, Franz Ferdinand in rotation every hour AND don't have to hear innane commercials every 7 minutes. I typically come down on the "Oasis sucks!" column, but being exposed to some of their other material on the Underground Garage (Sirius 25) I am warming up to them. Some of my new favorites...The Shazam, Hawaii Mud Bombers and The Waldos. There is one band of which I like their name and not their music...Vatican Sex Kittens. So far the whole experience has been great. If you spend a lot of time in your car, I highly recommend Sirius satellite radio.

*Rock Snob - A term Gabi uses for my taste in music because I shun the big, minimally talented, musical acts and prefer real, talented musicians, no matter how popular.

Everyday I think about the future and what it holds. I love it here in Washington, but would not be heartbroken to live back in San Diego. They both have their positives and negatives, so it is all a matter of what you can stand. I miss my friend Scott a lot. Besides playing hockey together we did lots of other stuff and I miss that. I don't miss the cookie cutter blandness of the San Diego area, but, that is pretty minor. If we leave here, I would definitely miss the beauty and the uniqueness of the area. You have familiar things as well as very individual things, which makes the experience of going from town to town more interesting. I think the biggest thing I will miss is the people here. Definitely a better bunch than typical Californians. I figure, I will just have to tolerate it and live on...

Precor...I can't say enough nice things about them. I will do everything in my power to remain here. I will definitely try to angle for a spot in Valencia. This is a place where you can definitely move up and they definitely treat you like family. Please buy our equipment.

Finally, a few weeks have now been spent with the BMW. Nice car, pretty sporty for a sedan, but, I can't help it...I miss my Porsche something awful. BMW builds a second tier car compared to a Porsche, no doubt. The marks for the Bimmer as a commuter car???Great...better than a Camry and the auto trans can't be beat!

Anyway....that is all...

Just because you don't enjoy certain types of music, does not mean they are bad. Don't be so narrow minded, enjoy everything, popular, unusual, underground, classical, jazz, they all have a place and can be enjoyed equally.

I think about leaving Seattle all of the time. Not because I don't lie it, just for a new adventure. But I am afraid when I married Jon I gave up the dream of ever leaving. I don't think he would ever consider living anywhere else.
If I had the choice I would probably live in NY for a while after my daughter graduates HS. WA state is great for raising kids. I hear the CA school system is one of the worst! That may be something to consider.

Anonymous : I never said "certain types of music" I was specific about rock and what bands I enjoy and don't enjoy. You can certain in the knowledge that million sellers usually suck.

Michelle : I am from NY. It is a lot like here. Except colder. NYC would be cool for a while I suppose. I love the city.

Pablo: You just keep those secrets to yourself...
