Maybe I Can See You On Holidays...

Yes!!!!!! 4 days off in a row.

Lemme catch you up on the latest happenins. As you can see my blog time is considerably down. I don't have time to blog much anymore because of the job change. I will be updating, but probably sporadically due to time constraints.

New job is going well. Getting my feet wet in the fitness industry. Not as technically deep as what I am used to, but I have a lot more responsibility. For the first time in my life, I have say in product development as well as my training responsibilities. My Seattle commute is just a mess!!! A ride that typically takes 45 minutes takes me 90. I get to relax before and after work, which is nice, but sometimes I wish I could just get home.

I am over the loss of my 944S2 Cabriolet. Last night when Gabi and I were watching "The Office" she pointed out during a commercial that it was 9:44, and then she pointed out the commercial was using that song from the 70's "Just The Two Of Us" and I actually laughed. I guess I am getting used to driving an old man's car.

My next move is to get permission to play hockey on Friday nights. I can jump over from here to the rink on my way home. I need to get my fat ass in shape.

Today is my 9th anniversary and 16th year Gabi and I have been together. Happy Anniversary Sweetie, I love You!

As talked about earlier this month, DMP screwed me out of vacation pay. I worked the pre-required year, but since I quit, I guess they decided to try to justify not paying me with the fact that I only completed a year exactly and was not an employee on my anniversary date. Talk about splitting hairs. I have plans to deal with them!

We are also looking up here for a new home close to work...wish us luck!

Andres has left the building. Salida es tu amigo!

She's gone, Oh why, I better learn how to face it...

Elo Kiddies...its been a few weeks since the last update, and things have changed dramatically for me.

First and foremost, I have started my new job. Seems like a great place to work. Everybody is pretty casual, it is a pretty relaxed atmosphere, let's see how it shakes out over the next year. I have my work cut out for me...I will have to create training programs for the entire U.S. and Canada over the next few months. I will be training at the consumer level, so, that should be a bit easier than the commercial level, but I have to create from scratch and commercial doesn't, so, there in lies the rub. It is great to come home every night.

Secondly (and the title says it all) My beloved Porsche is with another man tonight. Poor Gabi had to hear for 10 years about how one day I was going to get a 944S2 Cabriolet...I saw one on the lot in 1990 for the whopping price of $63,000 and just waited the 10 years until it got into the $20K range and I snagged one. But from 1990 to 2000, probably close to 3650 times, Gabi had to hear about that damned car and how I was going to get one. Now...the poor woman has to listen to me lament about it until I get the next one in a few years. I replaced it with a 1995 BMW 325i. Nice car, loaded, comfy and great for commuting, but the fun factor is way out the window.

Tomorrow, I will right a wrong by sending out Suzy and Marks shirts I have been hanging onto for about 2 months. Suzy will be snagging The Posies Archies design from the last tour and Mark will be sporting a black Easy Street Records t from lovely downtown Seattle.

I am fighting a cold right now, so will cut it short. Hugs and Kisses...Drew

...and it's Halloween...

If you don't like cute Alex stories, please go past this part. Gabi and I took out our little guy in his kangaroo costume for his first Halloween trick or treat adventure. He caught on very quickly...after the second house the lightbulb went off...Go to a door. Ring the doorbell. People come to the door with "nee" (Alex speak for candy.) Take a piece or two. Place "nee" in plastic pumpkin candy bag. Clap hands. Smile uncontrollably while raising hands in victory. Do a little porch dance and run at top speed to the next house.Repeat.

I am on my last week at DMP. I wish I could have just stayed home and get paid. I just get a feeling they will find a way to screw me out of my vacation. I am looking forward to the new job and staying home...

Not much else to report...
